Chef Eric Kalwarczyk came to the Inn at Woodstock Hill in April of 2007. He began his career in food service as a teenager at Heritage Country Club in Charlton, MA. While he was employed as a short order cook, he began to prepare the meals for large banquets.
After high school, Eric graduated from Worcester State College. After a short period of working in other fields, he decided to return to the kitchen and enrolled and graduated from Newbury College School of Culinary Arts.
Eric has worked in several central Massachusetts restaurants and institutions but most notably Thymes Square on Hudson under chef, Cary Killeen.
Although he enjoys all styles of cooking his main focus has been continental European and the regional cuisines of the United States including Cajun, Southwestern, and New England flair. He is a strong believer in using the freshest food available and whenever possible organic and locally produced food.
Eric resides in Dudley, Massachusetts with his wife and two daughters. In his spare time, Eric enjoys woodworking, gardening, and playing music. |
